TVEL says exports over 300 kg of metal uranium to France in 2017
MOSCOW, Feb 13 (PRIME) -- Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant, a unit of Russian nuclear fuel producer TVEL, has exported more than 300 kilograms of metal uranium to France in 2017, Alexander Yevseyev, the plant’s director for production, said in an interview to the nuclear industry’s corporate magazine Strana Rosatom published on Tuesday.
“This is a first delivery within a large contract. The client was satisfied, and we will continue cooperation,” he said without specifying where the uranium will be used.
In October 2017, Russian nuclear industry magazine Atomny Expert reported that Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant produced and exported uranium metal to the Jules Horowitz Reactor research facility in France.
